Bought this light to replace an older light in the bathroom. Package arrived very well packaged. The light was easy to assemble and installation took a total of 5 minutes. The light looks contemporary and is bright enough for the entire bathroom. I really like the glass cover instead of vinyl covers that are typically sold in this price range. Just bought another one for my daughter's bathroom.These lights met all my expectations, which in general, are high. I certainly did not want acrylic globes as they feel and look cheap, are difficult to clean, and fade or warp over time. The glass "globes" on these lights are very well made. Their thickness is awesome too. The LED light is amazing. As it is cast up and down, all three bathrooms, large and small, that I installed these in are well lit and the light amazingly is spread evenly throughout the room. I did not anticipate that added plus. At first I thought they might be too bright but they really only appear quite bright when you look right at them. After looking at them to see that they were level and properly installed, and then admiring them for a while, I stopped looking at them and stopped thinking about their brightness. You can install a dimmer switch if you like but we did not bother. My wife loves them because they will be easy to clean. They are very good looking, stream-lined and elegant. They throw off no heat as they are LED lights and will thus also lower our consumption of electricity. Every little bit helps. Given the above I am very glad I paid a bit more than I could have gotten away with.They work ok. The chrome has discolorations in several spots including this one on the front. Luckily the rest are on the back. I don't want to mess with taking it down and mailing it back so instead it gets a bad review for poor quality control. The chrome lacks real lustre and as I can see from the discoloration it is way too thin of a finish to be very durable.This light was meant for a tight spot and it was so heavy, it ended up broken during installation. Would not recommend.I was going yo use these as temporary lights because the ones I ordered were back ordered for a long time, but these are so nice, I am keeping them and cancelled the other ones.Clean and simple.. overall good,, and it's real glass (not plastic like some led based vanity lights). And dimmable too. Would have liked more whitish day light, and replaceable lights - otherwise 5 stars.Thought I would quickly install this fixture over our bathroom vanity and it is two hours later and my arms are about ready to fall off. The base worked perfectly with the existing box, wired right up, and turned on with any delay in with the LEDs lighting up. Now putting on the glass shade is a different story if you don't follow the instructions and fail to install it before mounting the fixture base to the wall bracket. There are only 1 1/2 inches between the rear of the fixture and the wall. Having to hold up the fixture, trying to align it vertically and horizontally is a challenge and stubborn me, I was dead set on not taking the fixture back down. Do yourself a favor. Buy this beautiful fixture and follow the instructions when installing. It will install in minutes.
